Excess Greed and Waste
Excess waste or greed looks like that one uncle during Thanksgiving who keeps going back for seconds, and thirds and fourths. He doesn't realize that there isn't a surplus of food and there are a lot of other people that want to eat. This selfish mentality is exactly what excess waste and greed looks like. Your uncle will eat and eat and eat, making a huge mess along the way. A mess that he will not be forced to clean up.

If you described this family at Thanksgiving in more detail, maybe create a scenerio about how poor they are, how hard the grandparents who worked to put the food on the table had to work in order to host Thanksgiving that year. Maybe they had a tradgedy or two that year where it resulted in hospital bills or jobs being lost. Especially with todays economy this could really hit home.
ReplyDeleteNow Brooke, that's rather sentimental for you. Don't you think Niani is working on a less specific moment? Don't we all have UNCLES (i.e. family members who don't respect the needs and desires of others)who take the best part for themselves?
ReplyDeleteNiani: On the other hand, Brooke is really asking you to SHOW more. She wants to sit at the table with Uncle Whoever and be annoyed, so that's probably the impetus for her request for more details.
I understand your comment Brooke about possibly specifying the scenerio, but I figured by keeping this situation general it would be more relatable to everybody.
